Twitch Stream Identity

For a short while, I used to livestream myself playing video games on Twitch.tv. I wanted to create an identity inspired by another streamer, brutalmoose, who used vintage imagery and aesthetics to mimic that of the old drive in movie theaters. The aesthetic I was inspired by for this identity was 80s and 90s designs, taking mostly from VHS design systems and commercials. The “stream offline” and “starting soon” screens were based on the old commercials VHS tapes would have as they advertised other movies. During the stream, game play would be surrounded by a border made to look like it was being shown on a VCR, with elements like the “PLAY” display and the tracking bar being visible.
