“Change For Our Future”
AIGA’s Design for Democracy
A project run by the AIGA to create designs inspiring others to go out and vote. I decided to base my project on the younger voters, ages 18-24. I used the imagery of a piggy bank, something I felt was loaded with nostalgia and that many in that age group would quickly recognize, and played on the purpose of this object. A piggy bank is used for storing spare change for future use. I used this analogy with the concept of voting, where people vote for the people they want to represent them, to bring the changes they want that will affect their future, thus creating change for our future.
